Sure, Phoebe is great and all, but there might be one or two things wrong with her friendship standards. The first time she meets anyone from the group is when she robs Ross in the streets as a teenager, and it doesn’t get much better. Phoebe is a vegetarian that loves to fight for animal rights, yet forgets all her values when she wears a fur coat and eats meat.
The character also signs up to work for a corporate massage parlor after stating how she would never do such a thing, buys things at Pottery Barn, and will ditch her friends if she wants to go on a date. To top it all off, Phoebe often tells everyone’s secrets, such as confessing to Chandler that Monica had initially hoped to hook up with Joey while they were all in London for Ross’ wedding.
