To this day, Richard doesn’t know for sure the identity of the boys’ biological father, though he does have his suspicions. At first, he pled with his ex-wife to spare him the torture of not knowing and reveal the identity.
When she refused, he used the fact that his story went so public to send an open appeal to that unknown father. “I would like him to come forward,” he pleaded, if only for the boys’ sake, as they’ll want to know how their real father is.
