Willem refuse to take the DNA test at the time for the best of reasons, saying, “As far as I’m concerned, he’s my dad and that’s that.” When he learned of the lawsuit, however, he told Richard in no uncertain terms how he felt.
“If you sue mum,” Willem reportedly told Richard, “I will never speak to you again.” True to his word, he hasn’t. Joel, one of the two twins, has done the same. Ed, the second twin, is the only one of Richard’s children to keep in touch with him.
