At first, it seemed as if nothing added up. How could she not be pregnant? However, once more information was uncovered, it started to become clear that Barbara had never been pregnant, and there had never been any babies.
As the weeks went on, the number of babies they were having kept increasing until she informed Paul they were having quintuplets. No one, not even Paul, even thought to question whether Barbara was telling the truth. After all, who would lie about that sort of thing?
