Missing a highway exit can send you on a wild goose chase to regain your bearings. Thankfully, there’s a neat little trick on U.S. highways signs that can help you out.
If you look on top of the sign, the marker indicating the exit number will be positioned to the right or left side of the sign. If it’s on the right, that’s the side your exit is on, while the opposite is true when the marker is on the left-hand side.
