Honestly, this is a mess. The original demand that people not put thumbtacks in the wall is pretty reasonable – nobody wants holes in the wall, after all. However, it would have been much easier to accept if the announcement hadn’t been attached to the wall with thumbtacks.
As such, employees rightfully started calling the announcement into question – leading to a chain of demands as self-defeating as they are ridiculous. We have to agree with ‘No sticky notes on sticky notes’ though – that’s just going too far.
