No matter how skilled a professional is, if they’re presented with something they don’t understand, they will inevitably freak out and do something random while hoping for the best.
The person who made this sign clearly understands this tendency in their colleagues, and as such has implored them to simply ask for help rather than try to rewire a machine that they definitely don’t understand. Unfortunately, they couldn’t account for their own absence, and no doubt returned to their desk to find a molten pile of chips and circuits.
