George R.R. Martin is the author of yet another world-famous fantasy series – what you probably know as Game of Thrones. Fans of the genre have speculated what the Harry Potter series would have been like if Martin had written it instead of its real author, J.K. Rowling. There is a general consensus that all of the main characters would be dead – Martin does not hold back on killing off fan favorites. It is safe to say the series would have been much shorter than the 7 books Rowling was able to release.
