The punchline to this joke has the power to reignite old frustrations that Harry Potter fans suffered at the hands of Severus Snape. For years fans questioned whose side he was really on – good or evil. We were rooting for him to team up with Harry Potter, but Snape did some questionable things along the way that left us unsure of where his loyalties lied. Non-fans of Harry Potter can use this fill-in-the-blank joke to call out anybody who remains neutral in the face of injustice.
