These are not your everyday hornets (which are scary enough as it is) but there are actually Vespa mandarinia otherwise known as the Asian giant hornet. Much like their name, these hornets are giant, actually the largest in the world.
They are native to East, South, and Southeast Asia, although some have been spotted in the Pacific Northwest of North America. These hornets grow around two inches in length, with one heck of a stinger that carries a large amount of potent venom.
