Chances are, this isn’t the kind of fish one would want to run into while going for a swim. This is the hydrocynus goliath otherwise known as the goliath tigerfish. These giant fish widely distributed across much of Africa are known as being fierce predators thanks to their razor-sharp teeth.
They can get awfully big, growing an average length of five feet and weighing around 100 pounds. Its teeth are what make them truly frightening, with each one growing up to one inch.
