In their original statement, which caught many people by surprise, the couple claimed that they would continue to “fully support Her Majesty The Queen” – although, according to reports, she was one of the people who were not expecting this decision.
In fact, a few days after the news broke the internet, Buckingham Palace issued a statement of its own, announcing that Harry and Meghan would no longer represent the Queen as working members of the Royal Family.
