There is nothing we miss less than having our parents force us to do things we found beyond embarrassing. It could be anything from performing our piano “skills” in front of all our relatives at Christmas Day lunch, to making this awkward phone call.
In hindsight, we understand most of these things were done in attempts to teach us how to be pleasant, well-mannered people – and for that we are grateful. But the memories of how it felt at the time make us cringe still to this day.
