Despite the level of danger involved in motor racing, particularly in the 1970s, Jungle Pam says she never really witnessed many crashes in person. Of course, accidents will always happen, and she wasn’t totally immune to seeing some bad crashes.
The scariest moment Pam remembers seeing with her own eyes was when Jean Snow crashed in Orange County. The hydraulic rod in his engine popped right up and almost cut his foot off, but luckily it remained intact.
