Fox thought they had a great idea when they came up with the idea of making children compete in the show Our Little Genius. The show had promise, and with Kevin Pollak hosting they looked like they were onto a winner from the start. It later emerged that contestants were given lists of topics and answers, prompting one parent to raise a complaint with the FCC. It caused such a stir that the show was pulled before it ever made it to air.
