In 2010 a couple thought they had the right answer, but were left devastated as all of their money plunged to the depths below. They were asked which product went on sale first, Post-It Notes, Sony Walkman, or Macintosh computers. They had $800,000 to play with and put it all on Post-It Notes. The product came out in 1977, but was known as Press ‘n Peel and didn’t become known as Post-It Notes until 1980. The Walkman launched in 1979, and technically they were wrong, but only on a technicality.
