Some teachers got into the profession not just because of their love of teaching, but also genuinely because they’re people persons. They love having their job center around interacting with young people, and they love molding their current selves into their future ones.
Those teachers are clearly not this one. When not even a student literally being ablaze can tear you away from whatever it is you’re doing, it might be time to think about finding a job that’s more up your alley. Your students will probably support the switch.
