[post_page_title](Not) Rewarding creative thinking[/post_page_title]
The assignment this child was given asked them to count all the pennies in the picture. They counted, and found seven of them, but also added the one in the example for a total of eight. While that arguably is wrong, since the prompt did specify only counting the ones in the picture, did the teacher really have to be such a jerk about it?
We’re obviously dealing with a young child who made an honest mistake of misunderstanding unclear directions. And if you really wanted to be a stickler for accuracy – those are cents, not pennies.
