This is a personal pet-peeve of ours to be honest. With the current trend towards green packaging it’s honestly a surprise that grocery stores are still putting out single pieces of fruit with this much packaging.
It’s not quite as bad as seeing a banana in a plastic wrap, but it’s still pretty far beyond the pale. Apples have been able to survive this long being left in the open by the dozens, and we’re pretty sure they could continue to do so.
