The rise of social media has given huge swathes of people a voice where they didn’t have one before. This is fantastic, but a lot of these people use their voice in deeply irritating ways. Sometimes someone will ask a question of people online, only to receive a completely irrelevant answer from someone with no idea about anything.
It soon becomes clear that this person has no answer at all, and has simply commented for commenting’s sake. Some people just like the sound of their own cyber voice.
