There are a lot of reasons to prefer physical books. They have that enchanting book smell, they feel a lot more solid, and they help you get into the spirit of reading more.
One of the major downsides, though, is the presence of books with printing that goes way too close to the spine, making it a lot harder to read. It’s not great to wrench your book apart just to be able to read the words, and we have to wonder why they still get printed this way.
