[post_page_title]Another burn in the wall[/post_page_title]
It might not seem to need repeating, but the number one rule of using an iron is: pay attention to where you’re pointing that thing. The number two rule is: don’t put it on anything that can burn, unless you want it to take on a much less solid, much more burnt form.
An iron will do its level best to burn through whatever you put it up against – there isn’t much else it can do really. So providing you want to live in a house that’s at least mostly free of iron shaped holes (we won’t tell you how to decorate), we vehemently recommend remembering to stand the iron up if it’s on and you’re not using it. Otherwise, you (and your possessions) will end up very quickly learning a singed, iron shaped lesson.
