[post_page_title]Thaw wheel drive[/post_page_title]
Driving on ice is one of the more treacherous activities going. It’s difficult to judge ice’s thickness accurately – so you don’t know if the pressure you’re about to apply is what’s going to crack it. If you’re driving across a vast field of ice, that’s at the bottom of the list of things you want to happen. Should that ice start to give way, you’ll only be able to ask yourself why you ever drove across it to begin with.
However, the risks aren’t entirely unknown. After all, you only get great swathes of ice when it’s frozen over great swathes of water. There’s no guarantee the ice will stay frozen while you move over it – even in the coldest parts of the world. The best thing to do is drive around the ice before you think about driving over it.
