When it comes to holiday movies, It’s a Wonderful Life is as iconic as they get. While it is considered a family-friendly holiday classic today, there are definitely some dark themes throughout the film.
However, one thing that would make the 1946 Christmas drama a bit less PG would be if it was called It’s a Wonderful Life Sentence. On the other hand, a holiday version of The Shawshank Redemption doesn’t sound all that bad when we come to think of it.
