This plotline could go so many ways…we sort of hate to make jokes about this movie because of how terribly sad it is (spoiler alert, but who doesn’t know a movie about WWII is going to be sad?). Washed up on a beach with gaggles of other men, of course they’re going to offer each other a bit of help sometimes.
Shave and a haircut? Two pence? One wonders if after the bombing, they’re wandering in circles on the beach repeating that to themselves as though it’s something to look forward to.
