The thing that Denny liked most to do on flights, though, was observe his fellow passengers. He loved to think about what kind of lives they had – what they did, what they liked and disliked, how they felt about the world.
Denny found that trying to get inside other people’s heads brought him closer to them, and helped him remember that everyone has their own personal world. Toward the end of the boarding, Denny noticed a group of 10 soldiers board the plane, and take their places.
