J.J. is the artist of the show who dreams of growing up to become a star who can save his family from a life of poverty. Although J.J. is one of three of the Evans’ children, he quickly becomes the star of the show thanks to his catchphrase “Dyn-o-mite!”
The character aims to do the best he can in school and look after his siblings. However, J.J. really ends up using his looks to charm his way through most situations, as well as continually arguing with Thelma and Michael.
