Understandably, the son had no idea how to respond to this absurd request. As a ten-year-old child, he answered to his mom and only his mom. She was responsible for him and his well being, including where he sat…not this stranger!
The mom felt herself growing angry. If her son listened to this strange man’s unreasonable demands, he’d no longer be in her line of sight. She wouldn’t be able to keep an eye on him or take care of him during the flight. What was he thinking?
