The woman found herself getting very upset at this man. She had already told him once what the situation was. She wasn’t going to move her son to accommodate the newlyweds, period.
Perhaps if the married couple had asked her directly, she might have been willing to work with them on it. But the thing was, the bride was getting quite anxious and visibly uncomfortable by the man’s pestering. She hadn’t even indicated that she wanted to sit by her husband, so why was he going on like this?
