You might think the last thing you want to do in the winter is to turn your ceiling fan on, but it may add an extra bit of heat to your home. Heat rises, and the warmest part of your room in the winter is most likely to be near your ceiling.
By turning your ceiling fan on in reverse, you can circulate the warm back down into the room to increase the temperature. This is a quicker, and cheaper, alternative to turning up your thermostat.
