If you are lucky enough to have a proper wood-burning fireplace, then you must have a very cozy home. The only downside of these fireplaces is when it comes to cleaning up. The ash makes a real mess, but if you use some tin foil, you can save yourself the hassle.
Just measure out the size of the tray that collects the ash and line it with tin foil. Then, when the ashes have cooled, all you need to do is fold the foil into a ball and throw it away.
