One thing that TSA agents dread seeing the most is a bomb. Even though they’re trained to deal with this sort of thing, they never want to encounter such dangers during their line of work. Thankfully, there was nothing to be scared of with this device because it was very clearly fake.
Even so, the security at Chicago O’Hare International Airport wasn’t allowed to take any chances. They closed the checkpoint for nearly 20 minutes to ensure this really was a hoax and not something that would endanger many lives.
