Because of Oliver’s approach, it probably means his new neighbor was eventually welcomed into his new community. If they had started a turf war over this issue, he would have had a very hostile welcome instead.
As Oliver was able to build a positive relationship with his next-door neighbor, it means in the future, he is less likely to do something as confrontational again. Being able to talk and agree with your neighbors about your building plans helps to keep things civil between each other.
