Kids do the darnedest thing, that TV show was sure right about that. And it’s pretty funny to realize how much of those things we “just did”, was stuff all kids do – but no one had an explanation for.
Perhaps it comes down to children being both easily entertained, and constantly curious. We all did this, and as far as we remember – it looks a lot more painful than it is. It’s actually a pretty pleasant feeling.
