[post_page_title]Cool easter egg, really weird behavior[/post_page_title]
The three Back to the Future movies constantly reference one another. Prime example: the opening to the third movie, which picks up right where the second left off. In 1955 Doc Brown’s house, Marty and Doc work out that the other Doc is still alive, back in 1855.
While past Doc reads future Doc’s letter, Marty just futzes around with his stuff. At one point, he picks a burnt toy car from the trash can – the same toy car that caught on fire during Doc’s demonstration of the time machine way back in the first movie. A-plus reference… but it’s not normal to root in people’s trash.
