[post_page_title]Nevermind the Cold War, the people need to know about Biff![/post_page_title]
Throughout Back to the Future, we see several copies of Hill Valley’s local newspaper, the Hill Valley Telegraph. It’s a… curious paper, as it seems to be equally obsessed with how well Biff Tannen’s gambling is going as it is with the inner turmoil of the Soviet Union. Biff’s fortunes are not only front page news, but usually the top story – and it’s not completely clear why.
Then, somewhere else on the front page there’s a story about something relating to the Soviets. It just feels like the Telegraph can’t pick a lane, choosing to cover the most frivolous local stories while also reporting on global politics.
