[post_page_title]Can we not make kids’ movies where a mom is attracted to her son?[/post_page_title]
Despite some colorful language here and there, Back to the Future, at its heart, is a fun all-ages romp. In fact, young’uns may find a particular joy in the plot line involving Marty going back in time and meeting his parents when they were his age. And then they’ll probably recoil in disgust when his mom starts putting the moves on him.
Actually, probably everyone in the audience cringed at those scenes. Interestingly, when the producers were shopping the movie around, they took it to Disney. The executive they met said, and we quote, “We’re Disney! You’ve got the kid in the car with his mom. That’s incest!”
