[post_page_title]Mary thought ‘Marty’ was such a nice name she waited three kids to use it[/post_page_title]
Initially believing he was called Calvin Klein, based on the name stitched on his undies, Marty eventually reveals his real name to Lorraine. She clearly takes a liking to it, and it’s implied she’ll go on to name Marty after the guy she met – and unsuccessfully tries to seduce – in 1955.
Looking past the fact that it’s weird she’d name her son after an unrequited romantic encounter, she had two children prior to Marty. We’ll subtract her daughter, but Marty does have an older brother, Dave. Did she like the name, but only enough to wait until she had two other kids to use it?
