It was while Duane was in his third marriage that he set eyes on Beth for the first time. Their meeting wasn’t particularly conventional because it came about after the latter was arrested for shoplifting a lemon.
Beth hadn’t done it intentionally – she’d been on the phone in a grocery store and absentmindedly walked out with it in her hand. However, because there was an arrest warrant out in her name, she was taken to jail and forced to rely on the bounty hunter to bail her at.
