During 2016 a staggering 41 people lost their lives after being attacked by a dog, with over half of the attacks being initiated by a pitbull. The other dog attacks were started by German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Labradors and many more.
However, pitbulls are often the breed that finds themselves having the finger of blame pointed at them, and unfortunately, even if the attacks aren’t fatal, they do often leave the victim permanently scarred and traumatized.
