Sometime in the 2000s, Mariah Carey accidentally birthed a meme when she was asked about her thoughts on J.Lo, and she replied with “I don’t know her,” paired with a vigorous head shake and a smile that many people interpreted as her throwing shade at her “competitor.”
This Mariah on Twitter says she can’t introduce herself to a new person without them saying “Oh, like Mariah Carey,” so maybe she should adopt the famous diva’s shady reply – or would that be too meta?
