Obviously being appealing and eye-catching is a big part of branding. You also have to be somewhat honest though, or people are going to smell a con. The people running this store definitely wanted to entice people in with low prices, but they couldn’t even stretch the deception further than the sign.
Anyone that sees this is going to stop, realize that almost nothing in there is likely to be 99¢, and just walk away – stung by the promise of a 99¢ tub of ice-cream that’ll never come to pass.
