The man worked a 9-5 job, so the only days he had to complete the deck were weekends. Therefore, the project was taking some time to complete. Fall was slowly turning into winter, so because of this, the man had no choice but to pause the project and complete it when the weather was better.
It would be dangerous to use tools in cold or wet weather, so he covered up the half-completed decking with a dust sheet and vowed to finish it whenever he could.
