Many people who like horror movies, are naturally also drawn to true crime documentaries. This documentary sub-genre has literally exploded over the past few years, and there’s now countless Netflix series and podcasts dedicated to the subject.
But weirdly enough, despite true crime being completely real, and therefore crimes that could in theory happen to all of us – it’s not as scary as horror movies. There’s just something about completely unrealistic, made up scary movies that always keeps us up at night.
