Another way to say that you’re pregnant or close to giving birth is that you’re “about to pop.” Obviously, that sounds a bit gruesome, but it does make sense. After all, when a woman gives birth, her belly shrinks significantly like a balloon does when it bursts.
Evidently, these two like that phrase which is why they used it for their pregnancy announcement. They wrote that they were “Expected to pop” in February 2014, and they put it on balloons to really get the message across.
