As a result of its sheer size, Texas possesses quite a few different kinds of terrain. The state has rolling hills, lofty mountains – and some very, very flat sections of land. One particular well-known area of evenness is Lubbock – one of the major cities in the north of Texas.
Lubbock is located on the High Plains – an expanse of flat land that stretches across Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and Texas to name just a few. While the plains do have some breaks and inclines, Lubbock is in a particularly flat section.
