Depending on where you are in Texas, the odds are that you aren’t going to see much rain. In desert areas with very high temperatures and an arid climate, the odds of seeing substantial rain don’t increase much even during parts of the year when rain is more common.
This picture pokes fun at that fact, making it clear that you’d never need more than a bottle cap to gauge how much rain you were getting at any one time. At least it’s easy to carry around.
