Obviously, the people who work on the Ellen Show (including Ellen herself) were pretty distressed when all of these stories started breaking. Whether they were complicit or not, it must be a bad feeling knowing that people were having a hard time on your show.
However, the staff of the show apparently took it the wrong way and instead opted for damage control rather than actually addressing the problems and changing the culture. A former employee reported that a Zoom meeting was held to deal with the low morale, but nothing else really changed.
