Out of all the cringe-worthy Ellen interviews, the one with Mariah Carey from 2008 takes the cake. This one isn’t just awkward, it’s downright inappropriate.
Ellen was on a mission to get Mariah to admit the pregnancy rumors about her were true, and instead of respecting the fact that she wasn’t ready to tell the world about such a private matter – Ellen basically forced the answers out of her by trying to get her to drink champagne. Mariah was clearly uncomfortable, and making matters worse, she miscarried just a few weeks later.
