Each Harry Potter book is an amazing fantasy novel written by the famous author J.K. Rowling. If you are a fan of these books, then you must definitely know that each one has its own amazing plot that chronicles the life of Harry Potter and his friends, all of whom are students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. While the main theme of the saga remains the same in all books, the plot and focus of each book is different. But which is the best Harry Potter book?
The Harry Potter series
Since the release of the first novel of the famous series, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, in June 1997, the series has been very successful and gained millions of readers worldwide. Even though all of the books have amazing plots and stories, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is one of a kind. If you love magical worlds, you probably loved the central story, which concerns Harry’s struggle against a dark wizard, by the name Lord Voldemort.
The third novel of the famous series
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is considered by many readers to be the best of the series. This book follows the main character, Harry Potter, in his third year of magical education at Hogwarts school. In this book, Harry, the famous wizard, is back at the amazing school, which he thinks of as his home. He is extremely happy when he gets to ride the Hogwarts Express to school for the second time in his life. When he arrives, however, he sees the dementors, hooded figures who guard the wizard prison of Azkaban, one of the worst prisons in the world.
Sirius Black: an escaped prisoner
Just before going back to Hogwarts, Harry hears about Sirius Black, who has escaped from Azkaban prison, where severe criminals are kept. Harry’s friend’s father, Mr. Weasley, warns Harry that this criminal is looking for Harry himself. As a result, Harry is terrified that a convicted murderer is after him. But as it turns out at the end, Sirius is not exactly what he seems to be, and he is also Harry’s godfather.
Dementors guard Hogwarts
Despite the relative safety of life at Hogwarts and the best efforts of the dementors to keep the place secure, there is always the threat of the convict Sirius Black. But Harry has learned that things are not always as they seem; there may be tragic revelations or heartening surprises in life.
He even asks a teacher, by the name Remus Lupin, to teach him a number of defensive techniques to use against dementors. More specifically, Lupin teaches Harry Potter all he needs to know to defend himself. In fact, he teaches him defensive techniques which are above his current level of magic.
Darker than the preceding novels of the famous series, this book shows the darker side of the main character. He explores some of the darkest places from his past. This is also the only book of the famous series which doesn’t feature Lord Voldemort.
